Difficulty
The game was meant to be challenging. We heard responses anywhere from: “The first few levels are way too easy” to “First level is impossible”. The game does assume some level of strategy game experience and strategic play. Hence we will try to add an “easy” mode for those unfamiliar with this type of gameplay in the next update.
Traits
Mana Boost: For each point you place in Mana Boost you will begin each new duel with 1 random mana. e.g. Manaboost lvl 3 can start duel with 2 red and 1 white mana.
Wisdom: For each point in Wisdom you will draw an additional card at the very BEGINNING of the duel (your first turn). e.g. 3 Wisdom will start with 3 more cards in hand than 0 Wisdom
Toughness: Start with +2 hp for each point in Toughness
Cunning : For each point in Cunning you will gain an additional 20% chance to draw an additional card during EACH of your draw phases
Criticals: For each point you have in Criticals each of your minions gets +10% chance to be summoned with an additional +1/+1 and Aggression. (Aggression means that a Minion can attack the first turn it comes into play).
e.g. Lvl 3 Criticals gives each of your minions 30% chance to be summoned with bonuses mentioned above
Spike Shield: Every minion who attacks YOU (not your minions), has a 50% chance to suffer 1 damage for each point in Spike Shiled. e.g. Think of it as throwing X coins where X is your level in spikeshield. All coins that end up heads will deal 1 damage to the offending minion. Or to simplify damage is random between 0 and X (worst case all randoms fail, best case all randoms succeed)
The Start Page’s Yellow Orb, Blue Orb & White Orb
These are 3 different profiles that you can use to create 3 different decks of cards to play through levels, or can be dueled against each other in duel mode.
Story/Career Mode
We plan on adding a story mode in a future update, but it’s still a bit away as well. So much to do… so little time.
Better tutorial
Work in progress…
New Battlefields
We are trying to find some more battlefields for the game and we’ll get them added as soon as we can, but as you will have noticed we focus primarily on delivering gameplay above all else. Don’t know yet if they will influence the game in any way other than aesthetically though.
Deck Editor
Updates to the deck editor are already in the works and should be seen in the next update.
Online Multiplayer
We currently do NOT have enough players in the game to consider creating an online multiplayer system (think how many people have to be playing it at any given time to have someone to face of your difficulty level), BUT if you get all of your friends on the game and it becomes very popular… ;D. If and when we do an online multi-player system, we will give all of the cards a value/weight that will determine the “power” of your deck and each player will be given a rank in our points system that will help to determine the difficulty of you vs. your online opponents. If you want to see it happen, you can help by spreading the word and if you enjoy the game a good review would be very much appreciated, seems people mostly bother to review something only if they are displeased.
Iphone/Ipod Touch
It WILL happen for iPhone 3GS, 4 and latest gen of ipod touch. Hopefully very very soon, it’s in the final stages.
Levels
There are currently 7 levels and 3 underlings per level in the latest version of HB. (it should be noted that on the 7th level all 3 of the underlings are just as hard as any previous boss). As a side note; the game has been made with replay value in mind.
New Cards / Levels
We have a LOT of ideas. We get even more from players. We want to add more features / levels, but unfortunately more pressing concerns such as deck editor and other features take precedence for now. We are still intending to get to this though.
